The 2023 Northwell Health Cardiovascular Fellows Course uniquely provides a comprehensive review of the literature and case management in the fields of Interventional Cardiology, Peripheral Vascular Disease and Structural Heart Disease. Focused on critical topics facing today’s Fellows including educational sessions on Complex Coronary PCI, Hemodynamic support, Procedural Complication Management, CTO’s, Cardiogenic Shock Management, Peripheral Vascular Disease and Structural Heart Disease including TAVR and Mitral Valve Repair.


Our educational objectives will be accomplished using didactic lectures, case reviews and hands-on simulator and product training. With a special emphasis on faculty and attendee interaction, fellows will be exposed to the most up to date advances in the field of interventional cardiology.

Registration is limited. Applicants must qualify and be a part of the course's "target audience" (see below) and must produce a letter confirming fellowship status. You are required to attend all 3 days of the course: Thursday, Friday & Saturday.


Approved Fellows will receive:

  • Domestic Roundtrip Airfare or Mileage reimbursement (up to $500)
  • 3 Nights Hotel Accommodations - Wednesday, February 15 - Saturday, February 18 (NOTE: Hotel Accommodations must be made through Gaffney Events. Additional nights are available at your own expense.)
  • Reimbursement of approved out-of-pocket expenses

OPTIONAL: WEDNESDAY EVENING CERTIFICATION COURSE

There is an option to attend a Wednesday Evening Certification Course. There are two options: a Boston Scientific Rotablator Certification Course, and a CSI Atherectomy Course. Each course is limited to the first 25 fellows to apply and book their flights/confirm their travel. You will select which course you would like to attend in your course application.


NOTES: 

  • You can only attend one course.
  • You can select which course you prefer to attend. If you are OK with attending either course, you can pick which you would prefer, but will be on the list for both courses.
  • You will only be confirmed to attend the course once you have officially confirmed your attendance by booking your flight/confirming your hotel room with Gaffney Events. Local attendees will confirm with Gaffney Events directly.

EDUCATIONAL SESSIONS SCHEDULE

• Thursday, February 16: Coronary Session

• Friday, February 17: Coronary Part 2 & Structural Heart Session

• Saturday, February 18: Vascular Session

TARGET AUDIENCE

The course is intended for current Interventional Cardiology Fellows and 3rd year General Cardiology Fellows planning to enter into an Interventional Cardiology program, Vascular Surgery Fellows and Structural Heart Fellows.
